NKLC wants to give a person from an underrepresented background (BAME) from the north of our Borough an opportunity to train as a social welfare lawyer and the money raised will pay the salary, training and supervision costs of that person. Why? We do not generally campaign, or complain or explain our existence, but if we do manage to raise £50k then we can create an opportunity for someone who might not have otherwise got it. Education & ability only get you so far, opportunity then has to come knocking.
